Ukulele hula girl Christmas light

I spent last week in San Francisco on holiday.  I’ve never been before but I thoroughly enjoyed it.  We went to the Fairmont hotel’s famous tiki bar, walked around, ate huge large portions of food.  I’ve never been to the US before so I was keen to get the whole experience as we’d spent most of our time in either the Mission or the Haight, so on the last day we wandered down to Union Square and into Macy’s department store.  This is where I picked up this little gem.

Amazing.  It’s a light, and it’s also on a spring, so she can actually hula.  I think its a Christmas decoration of some sort as it was in that section.

Look how pretty her hair is.  However, this hula girl light was not made for British life, she lived fast and died young.  When plugging into the socket over here the bulb exploded.  OK, she’s not technically dead yet, just a little disabled.  One thing I find strange is that she plugs directly into a socket.  Isn’t she going to spend all her time on the floor?  Who knows.  For now her light has been dimmed, but maybe, in the future, I can fix her up real good, and she can light up once again.
