Susan from Seinfeld fame plays ukulele

Susan Ross, George’s fiance in Seinfeld that he killed off, now teaches the ukulele. Her real name’s Heidi Swedberg, and she teaches music. She’s also introducing a screening of the Mighty Uke, documentary, which I’ve still not seen, at the Musical Instrument Museum in Pheonix on Saturday, January the 8th. If you live near there you should head on down.

After thinking about Seinfeld, I stumbled upon the Curb your Enthusiasm theme tune played on cigar box ukulele. Curb is the Seinfeld co-creator Larry David’s latest show. It’s very funny and I highly recommend, and below is the theme tune.

David-Ivar Herman Dune – Cigar Box Ukulele

There are a number of reasons why I love this video. First it’s a cigar box ukulele. Yes, that’s correct, it’s a cigar box. What more could anyone possibly want? Second, it has a picture of the Carter Family on the back. We could stop at two and it would still be a great video, but no, there’s more. Third, it’s David-Ivar Herman Dune playing in the video. He has a beard and he plays the ukulele and he’s in Herman Dune. I’m guessing it’s custom made from the cigar box ukulele man who lives in France. This is his myspace: cigar box ukulele chap. I urge you to look.
